Frequently Asked Questions About FedEx Services
What is the difference between FedEx Priority Overnight and Standard Overnight?
The time of day. Both deliver the next business day to most metropolitan areas, but Priority Overnight arrives in the morning, while Standard Overnight commits to 5 p.m. for businesses and 8 p.m. for residences. Both carry the FedEx Express money-back guarantee and both offer Saturday delivery for an extra charge. If the morning matters, choose Priority; if the end of the day is soon enough, Standard is the next-day option.
What is FedEx International Connect Plus?
An international service built only for e-commerce: goods bought by or for a consumer through the shipper's website or another online channel. It takes 2 to 4 days to the U.S. and 2 to 5 days to most major markets, has no money-back guarantee, and is not available to every country. FedEx may redirect the parcel to a pickup point, and it will not carry dangerous goods, perishables, goods for resale or business-to-business bulk orders. FedEx does not charge its residential delivery surcharge on it.
Does FedEx Ground ship to the U.S.?
Yes. FedEx Ground covers Canada and the U.S., and FedEx International Ground delivers there in 2 to 7 business days. It is not available to other countries. Some goods FedEx Ground carries within Canada are excluded on the way to the U.S., including perishables, plants and seeds, personal and household effects, and prescription drugs. Compare FedEx Ground with the faster international services for your shipment.
Can every FedEx service carry dangerous goods?
No. FedEx does not accept dangerous goods on FedEx Economy, First Overnight, International Connect Plus or International Deferred Freight, and International Economy takes them only as inaccessible dangerous goods from Canada to the U.S. Where FedEx does accept them, a dangerous goods fee applies, listed in our FedEx surcharges list.
