Does Loomis deliver on Sunday?
Loomis does not list a Sunday delivery service in its rate guide, terms or service pages. Loomis Ground ships Monday to Friday, and Saturday delivery is a paid option to and from select cities. If you need a package by the weekend, see weekend delivery above.
Does Loomis Express require a signature?
Not for home deliveries, unless the sender asks for one. Loomis states that no signature is obtained for residential delivery unless the sender requests it. Senders can add Signature Required, or Adult Signature Required, where the recipient must be at least 19 and Loomis may ask for photo ID, through Loomis's automated shipping system. Can Loomis leave a package at my door?
Sometimes. When no signature is required, Loomis uses its Safe Drop process: at the driver's discretion, the package is left somewhere sheltered from the weather that people who do not live there cannot easily see. Apartments and condominiums are excluded, and when the receiver is not home, Loomis follows its delivery notice process. Receivers can also sign Loomis's Signature Release Form to waive the signature for one or all future shipments, although it does not apply to Express 9:00 and 12:00, dangerous goods, Return Cheque or high-value shipments. How many times will Loomis try to deliver?
Twice before any fee. Loomis's 2026 rate guide states that if it cannot deliver on the first attempt, it automatically attempts to redeliver on the second business day at no additional charge, and charges for a third attempt. Loomis leaves a notice after a missed attempt, with a number you can enter in Loomis's tracking tool. The fee for further attempts is in our Loomis Surcharges guide.
Does Loomis deliver on holidays?
No. Loomis closes on statutory holidays, and some closures apply only in certain provinces. Its money-back guarantee also does not apply to anything picked up or scheduled for delivery between December 12 and January 5. The dates are on Loomis's 2026 and 2027 holiday schedules.
How long does Loomis Ground take?
Loomis lists Ground at 1 to 6 business days across Canada, shipping Monday to Friday, and Ground is not covered by Loomis's money-back guarantee. Does Loomis Express use Canada Post?
Loomis does not name Canada Post, or any other carrier, as a delivery partner. Its Terms reserve the right to substitute non-courier carriers to complete deliveries to remote destinations, or to places Loomis does not serve itself, and some locations are served by an authorized agent, which adds an extended area charge. So a remote delivery may be handed to another carrier, but Loomis does not say which.
